Women in Owo Performs Ritual with Cutlasses in Public To Revenge The Deaths Of Those Killed

Some ladies in the Owo community have assembled to invoke "Ogun" (the deity of iron and battle) to seek justice for worshipers slain by gunmen in a Catholic church in Ondo.

Last Sunday's terror assault at St Francis Catholic Church, Owa-luwa street, Owo, claimed the lives of 80 people, according to Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. He stated that 22 people died in the incident, while 52 patients are being treated at the Federal Medical Center in Owo, St. Louis Hospital in Owo, and the Owo General Hospital, as well as other private facilities.

The Bishop of Ondo Diocese, Jude Arogundade, asserted, however, that at least 38 church members were killed in the carnage.

The ladies, plainly enraged by the deaths, poured libations and deposited metals on the floor, pleading with the god of iron to bring them justice.
