PETER OBI, TINUBU, DANGOTE, AND OTHERS ATTENDED THE FUNERAL OF NDUKA OBAIGBENA'S MOTHER (PICTURES)

On Saturday, August 20, Nduka Obaigbena and his family laid their late mother, Princess Margaret Obaigbena, to rest.

Mr. Obaigbena is the creator and publisher of the daily ThisDay as well as the chairman of ARISE News TV.

Princess Obaigbena, his mother, who served as a special adviser to three separate governors of Delta State and a former nursing officer in the old Bendel State Government, passed away a few months ago at 87.

A mass was celebrated in her honour at St Andrew’s Anglican Church, Owa-Oyibo, Diocese of Ika, Delta State, on Saturday,  August 20.

Governor of Delta State Senator Ifeanyi Okoma, Governor of Edo State Godwin Obaseki, Governor of the Central Bank Mr. Godwin Emiefele, Labour Party Presidential Candidate Mr. Peter Obi, Governor of Ekiti Mr. Kayode Fayemi, and Business Mogul Alhaji Aliko Dangote are just a few of the dignitaries who attended the event.

Others included Adedapo Oluseun Abiodun, the governor of Ogun State, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, the governor of Kebbi State, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, the chief of staff for the governor of Anambra State, Hon. Chinedu Nwoye, and General Lucky Irabor, the chief of the defense staff.
