16 YEARS OLD GIRL WHO MOVED TO ABUJA TO MEET A FACEBOOK FRIEND, WHO PROMISED TO TAKE TO GERMANY WAS REPORTED MISSING (DETAILS)

The 16-year-old girl named Chidinma Anita Chukwudum traveled from her home in Festac Town, Lagos to Abuja and has since been reported missing.

Anita's mother, Mrs. Uche Chukwudum, reportedly stated that her daughter was last seen on September 18. Anita finished secondary school this year, took the JAMB exam, and is currently awaiting admission to Lagos State University LASU, according to her mother. She claimed that on Sunday, her daughter packed her suitcase covertly from their home for Abuja.

Anita had been communicating with a person via Facebook who offered to take her to Germany in search of greener pastures, according to Mrs. Chukwudum. The person she had been chatting with on Facebook then convinced her to pack her bags and move to Abuja, where they agreed to arrange her travel documents so she could depart for Germany.

The distraught mother claimed that Chidinma left a note stating that she would work to make her family proud before leaving the house.

Mrs. Chukwudum claimed that Anita's sister had access to her Facebook account and had been able to view all of her conversations with the person in Abuja. She stated that the police have been notified of the situation. She claimed that while the security personnel have been able to track her daughter's location, they have been unable to find the residence where she is being detained. She advises anyone with information that could help find her daughter to get in touch with the local police station.

Chidinma promised in a note she left before leaving that she would work hard and please her family.

The subject was brought up to the Nigerian police that the teenager is missing, and the family has begged the public for assistance in finding her.
