PALACE DISCLOSES THE STATUS OF ALAAFIN'S WIVES AFTER FOUR MONTHS

Four months and ten days after the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, passed away, the palace made public the status of the king's wives.

During the 51st anniversary of the monarch's coronation, the late king's wives were depicted in a post uploaded on the Alaafin of Oyo's official Facebook page. The pictures were accompanied by a somber statement that described how the king's wives were feeling.

In accordance with Yoruba culture and Oyo Empire traditions, the message claims that the late Alaafin's wives are still grieving their husbands.

They said;

“Gbogbo wa la ma ditan. It’s. 4months, 10days of mourning for Ayabas in line with Yoruba Culture and Tradition of the old Oyo Empire after the departure of the Alaafin.




May our dear father continue to rest in peace, this photo was taken on the occasion of Alaafin Oba Adeyemi III's 51st coronation anniversary.
