Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe Adeoti's producer and marketer husband, Kazim Adeoti, has come under fire online for sending his first wife, Funsho Adeoti, an "inappropriate" birthday message.
As was previously reported, Funsho Adeoti celebrated her 48th birthday with lovely pictures that left her estranged wife out of the picture. Unlike the year before, when she celebrated turning 47 by sharing beautiful images of herself and her husband.
Funsho Adeoti celebrated her new age by giving thanks to God for keeping her and bringing her so far. In order to counteract her husband's decision to take a second wife, she asked for God to give her the strength to live a life without regret.
She wrote:
“I dedicate this day to the Almighty God, who has kept me and brought me this far. I wish myself a better now than ever. May God’s infinite power be upon me and grant me a life that doesn’t end with regret. Happy birthday to me.”
However, for his first wife's birthday, Kazim Adeoti wrote a heartfelt message wishing her the happiest and happiest day ever.
He wrote:
"Happy, glorious birthday to you beautiful. Wishing you the happiest and the brightest day ever! God bless you, my darling Arike"
Many people found Kazim Adeoti's statement offensive and teased him for not properly honoring his first wife's message.
