AMERICAN RAPPER, 50 CENT AND MO ABUDU PLAN TO MAKE TV SERIES ABOUT HUSHPUPPI (DETAILS)

Curtis Jackson, better known as 50 Cent, an American rapper and producer, has hinted at creating a TV series based on convicted fraudster Hushpuppi.

Hushpuppi was found guilty of money laundering and sentenced to 11 years in prison.

On his Instagram page, 50cent revealed plans to create a television series with Hushpuppi, a convicted Nigerian socialite.

He wrote:

“For my scammers I gotta do this one Hushpuppy series coming soon! GLG! GreenLightGang I don’t miss”.

Mo Abudu, a Nigerian media personality, explained why she was collaborating with Will Packer Productions to turn Hushpuppi's fraud case into a film titled "The Fall of the Billionaire Gucci Master."

Mo Abudu said in a lengthy Instagram post that when Hushpuppi's story made headlines in 2020, she pitched the story idea to Will Power-Packer and James Lopez, and they bought it.

According to the media mogul, they won the right to produce the film after a heated competition between several producers.

The project was a dream come true for her because she had been looking forward to working with Will Packer Productions and Universal Pictures on the project.

According to Mo Abudu, there are many lessons to be learned from both good and bad stories, and if they do not tell the story, someone else will and ensure that the story is told authentically.

She went on to say that Hushpuppi's story is based on a real person whose story is already known to some extent in the world, but the film gives them a real chance to tell a cautionary tale about a character shaped by his environment and life choices.
