SADIO MANE MAKES THE FINAL LIST OF SENEGAL'S TEAM TO QATAR'S WORLD CUP, AS THEY SET TO MEET WITCH DOTORS FOR HIS INJURY (DETAILS)

Sadio Mane of Bayern Munich has been named to Senegal's World Cup squad despite his injury.

On Friday morning, November 11, Senegal announced their official 26-man squad for the Qatar tournament, which begins later this month.

Mane, 30, of Bayern Munich, is among the players traveling to the Middle East after FIFA's Senegalese secretary general, Fatma Samoura, stated that the country would use witch doctors to help him get to the competition.

Mane limped off after 20 minutes of Bayern Munich's 6-1 Bundesliga win over Werder Bremen on Tuesday, with Bayern manager Julian Nagelsmann confirming the 30-year-old would have an X-ray to determine the extent of the injury.

The French outlet L'Equipe later reported that the injury was serious enough to keep the player out of the tournament, dealing a huge blow to the Africa Cup of Nations champions.

On Thursday, Samoura, the No. 2 at FIFA's governing body, stated that the country will go to extreme measures to ensure his presence, admitting that they are unsure if the unconventional method will work but hoping for miracles.'

She told Europe 1:

"We are going to use witch doctors,"

'I don't know (if they're effective) but in this instance, we're going to use them anyway. We are hoping for miracles. He has to be there!"
