SIX OF DAVIDO'S DOMESTIC STAFF HAVE BEEN RELEASED, WHILE TWO HAVE BEEN DETAINED (DETAILS)

On Tuesday, November 1, eight domestic staff members were summoned for questioning.

The Lagos state police command has detained two of the singer Davido's eight domestic staff members who were summoned for questioning in connection with the death of his three-year-old son, Ifeanyi.

On Monday, October 31, the toddler drowned in his father's Banana Island apartment.

According to SP Benjamin Hundeyin, spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, six of the domestic staff brought in for questioning have been released, while the chef and nanny whose duty it was to care for the little boy have been detained.

According to a source close to the heartbreaking incident, the Nanny was with Ifeanyi when the Chef arrived. The Nanny was said to have moved slightly away from the phone to take a call. She couldn't find Ifeanyi when she returned and assumed he was with the Chef, but the Chef said he had left Ifeanyi with her. For nearly 20 minutes, they frantically searched the house for Ifeanyi.

Nobody knew how the boy got into the pool. Davido and Chioma were said to have returned from their trip only to learn of the terrible news.
