Segun Ogungbe, a Nollywood actor, has finally revealed his marriage to the actress.

As part of his damage-control strategy, the actor told the Saturday Sun

He said:

"I read the stories online and found different versions, but the truth is that I did not impregnate my wife's best friend." It's all rumors. The lady in question was neither a member of my theater group nor a student at my drama school. She had been my girlfriend for a long time, even before we married.

"What actually happened was that a lady wanted to marry me a long time ago, and I made her understand that at the time, I couldn't have two wives." I won't name names because she isn't interested in entertainment. I eventually married my second wife, and when she became pregnant and we married, the lady was furious with me".

He further explained that:

"She was the one who spread the rumor on her Facebook wall that I had gotten my first wife's best friend pregnant. She was the one who framed me because I refused to marry her at the time. Unfortunately, people are quick to believe such news without verifying its veracity. No blogger contacted me before they picked up the news from her Facebook page, and that is the rumour that has been spread about me to this day.

No one would believe the truth unless they heard from me, but no one contacted me, and how many people would I have to explain what really happened?"

"I did not respond to the news at first because I believe everyone has the right to free speech, and I also believed that if I spoke out, it would prolong the matter, and I just wanted it to end." I did nothing wrong; she was the one who framed me in such a way that I would appear bad in public. I also didn't know who to contact to tell them my side of the story, and you know how this industry works".

"If I say something to the wrong person, they can easily twist it and make things worse. That is why I decided to remain silent. My wives had never met before I married them."
