CRISTIANO RONALDO WAS ALLOWED TO LIVE WITH GEORGINA BY SAUDI ARABIA DESPITE THE COUNTRY'S LAWS FOR NON-MARRIED COUPLES (DETAILS)

Cristiano Ronaldo and his girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez are reportedly planning to live together in Saudi Arabia, despite the country's laws prohibiting non-married couples from living together.

The 37-year-old Portuguese striker joined Al-Nassr last month after leaving Manchester United, and he will reportedly earn £175 million per year.

On Tuesday, January 3, he was unveiled to fans in front of 25,000 supporters at Mrsool Park in Riyadh, against a backdrop of fireworks, flares, and strobe lighting.

Ronaldo's family was also present at his unveiling, and Spanish outlet SPORT reported that the pair will be breaking Saudi law by living with Rodriguez.

Rodriguez and Ronaldo would technically be in violation of Saudi law because they have not yet married.

However, SPORT's report goes on to state that, according to EFE, a Spanish news agency, Ronaldo is unlikely to be punished because of his status as one of the most marketable athletes in the world.

According to two separate Saudi lawyers, the relevant authorities were not expected to become involved in Ronaldo's situation.
