Femi Adebayo-led AFRIMEK Takes Drastic Action, Suspends Actor Papa Show for Publicly Assaulting Actress Temidayo Morkinyo

Nigerian actor Shoneye Olamilekan, popularly known as Papa Show, has been hit with a suspension by the African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) in the wake of a shocking incident involving an alleged physical assault on actress Temidayo Morkinyo.

The incident, which occurred in a public setting, prompted a swift and strong response from AFRIMEK, led by renowned actor Femi Adebayo. The organization promptly condemned the violent behavior and took decisive action to address the matter.

Temidayo Morkinyo had previously accused Papa Show of physically assaulting her on a movie set. Taking to her Instagram story, she recounted how the actor, accompanied by some individuals, had barged onto her set in Ibadan, Oyo State, and attacked her. She alleged that Papa Show had punched her in the face, resulting in a broken lip, as a response to her reporting his earlier unruly behavior to their bosses.

Temidayo explained that she had felt humiliated by the actor's rude request for her to buy him a drink and decided to inform their superiors, Afeez Abiodun Seriki and Niyi Johnson. They assured her that they would address the issue with Papa Show. However, to her dismay, the actor and his associates returned to her set to exact revenge after being reprimanded.

In response to this distressing incident, AFRIMEK, through a letter signed by Mayor Femi Adebayo, distanced itself from Papa Show's actions, stating that they do not align with the identity and values of the organization. The letter emphasized that the actor's disgraceful act had led to his suspension, pending further investigations.

The association also expressed sympathy for Temidayo Morkinyo and extended an offer to cover her medical expenses, standing in solidarity with her pursuit of justice.

This development sheds light on the concerning issue of violence within the Nigerian entertainment industry, while also highlighting the commitment of AFRIMEK to uphold integrity and hold its members accountable for their actions.
