Singer Portable Slams Artists Who Performed at President-Elect Tinubu's Pre-Inauguration

In a recent viral video, popular singer Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, expressed his strong disapproval of fellow artists who performed at a pre-inauguration concert for President-elect Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Portable revealed why he refused to participate in the event, shedding light on the financial aspects.

According to Portable, the concert organizers initially approached him with an offer of N5 million, which he boldly rejected. He claimed that the organizers had received N10 million specifically designated for artist payments but reduced his share. The singer expressed his frustration, emphasizing that he had been a vocal supporter of Tinubu during the campaign period.

In the video, Portable vented his anger, criticizing those artists who supported a different political candidate but now enthusiastically performed at Tinubu's concert. He questioned their loyalty and dedication to Tinubu, emphasizing his own unwavering support for the President-elect.

In defiance, Portable disclosed that he turned down the offer, tore up the contract, and deleted the organizers' contact information. He firmly stated that he wouldn't perform in Abuja for Tinubu, highlighting his belief that he deserved better treatment and recognition for his endorsement of the political figure.

The singer's remarks have sparked significant attention and controversy within the music industry, as the fallout from the pre-inauguration concert continues to unfold.
