Sister of Woman Who Passed Away at Asake's Concert calls him out over his 02 arena concert

Rachael Iku, sister of the late Rebecca Ikumelo, who tragically passed away at Asake's London concert last year, has voiced her grievances concerning his recent London concert.

Asake astounded London with an electrifying performance at his sold-out O2 Arena concert. The event was notably poignant as he paid tribute to the two individuals who lost their lives at his previous UK concert in December.

A video commemorating the departed individuals, Rebecca Ikumelo, a mother of two, and Gabrielle Hutchinson, a security detail, was played before the show, accompanied by an emotional tribute. The audience solemnly observed a minute of silence for the deceased, prompting an emotional atmosphere.

However, Rachael, using her micro-blogging platform (formerly known as Twitter), now known as X, expressed her dissatisfaction with Asake's approach. She pointed out that the singer hadn't reached out to her family since the tragic incident, yet he employed her sister's image in the tribute during his recent concert.

She criticized the tribute as inadequate and revealed her family's lack of communication with Asake since the incident.

"What a sorry excuse of a 'tribute' from @asakemusik. My sister lost her life at your show and you haven't spoken to a single member of my family since. But you can hold another concert in London less than 9 months later and play their videos as a 'tribute'?

RIP Rebecca Ikumelo"

"RIP my sister Rebecca Ikumelo and also to Gaby Hutchinson".

"Are you actually ok? Asake has not spoken to my family or I since the initial message exchanged when my sister passed away," she tweeted.
