Lastborn, serving as the Secretary of Beach Nigeria Enterprises, a car hire service situated at the Federal Palace Hotel in Lagos, where the late Okunneye held a directorial role, affirmed the arrangements for the burial. He revealed that the final rites, aligned with Islamic customs, would be conducted at 4 pm on the same day.
Lastborn's confirmation echoed the solemnity of the moment, affirming, "Yes, you saw it. It's true, he will be buried by 4 pm today."
