In an interview with TV personality Toke Makinwa, renowned Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo opened up about a challenging period in her life when she encountered financial difficulties during her marriage to Mr. Ademidun Ojo.

Iyabo shared that she met her husband when she was younger and less experienced, and he initially lured her with the promise of a lavish lifestyle. However, as their relationship progressed, she discovered that he was actually living in modest "Face-me-I-slap-you" accommodation.

This marked her introduction to the harsh realities of poverty, as she had always enjoyed a life of luxury until that point. She reminisced about having up to N100,000 as far back as 1996, which ensured she never experienced financial hardship during that time.

Despite her financial comfort, Iyabo noted that she hadn't received the level of attention and affection she longed for. It was her ex-husband who showered her with the attention and care that ultimately won her over.
