The Nigeria Police Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has announced an upcoming investigation into the alleged neglect of late singer MohBad's complaint to the police. MohBad had lodged a petition regarding threats to his life by music promoter Samson Erinfolami Balogun, also known as Sam Larry, and a group of 15 others.
According to the petition, which was dated June 27, 2023, Sam Larry and his associates reportedly stormed a video shoot where the late singer and another artist, Zlatan Ibile, were working. They were allegedly armed and made threats of violence. The petition further claimed that they caused damage to equipment worth over N5 million and physically assaulted the late singer, who managed to narrowly escape with injuries. The petition concluded with an urgent plea for police intervention: "Sir, I call on your good office to save my life from the above-mentioned persons and bring them to book."
In response to the matter, ACP Adejobi shared a copy of the petition on his social media handle, stating, "We will look into the alleged police negligence on this case." This announcement has raised hopes for justice among concerned parties, awaiting further developments in the investigation.
