Amid the ongoing controversies involving the skincare brand Jenny's Glow, Nigerian actress Nkechi Blessing has become embroiled in a social media battle with the popular TikToker known as "Very Dark Man."
"Very Dark Man," a TikTok sensation, has gained notoriety for his efforts to expose skincare brands operating without proper certification. He recently took legal action against Jenny's Glow, a brand that allegedly lacked NAFDAC registration and was accused of causing harm to customers' skin.
Now known as the "Skincare Warrior," Very Dark Man has shifted his focus to another skincare brand, Dorindas, which Nkechi Blessing was promoting. The actress had drawn attention for using filters while promoting the product, catching the TikToker's eye. He went live on video, accusing the skincare brand of lacking a NAFDAC registration number.
In response to these accusations, Nkechi Blessing swiftly defended herself and her brand in a live Instagram video, vowing not to remain silent in the face of allegations.
Nkechi Blessing didn't stop there; she also launched a verbal attack on Very Dark Man, revealing details about his living situation and financial struggles.
Meanwhile, Jenny's Glow, the skincare brand at the center of the initial controversy, spoke out after NAFDAC officials reportedly sealed off its Abuja branch due to alleged fake product generation and falsification of NAFDAC approval. This development followed a viral video by TikToker @verydarkman1, in which he called out the brand for its authenticity issues.
