Prominent Nollywood actress Wumi Toriola has taken to her Instagram to express her concerns about the attitudes of production managers (PMs) in the Yoruba movie industry.
In a candid post, Wumi highlighted that it's unique to the Yoruba movie scene that PMs often exhibit nonchalant behavior towards the cast and crew. She urged her fellow actors and crew members not to rely on feeding allowances provided by PMs, cautioning that this could lead to health issues like ulcers.
Sharing her own personal experience on a movie set, Wumi Toriola emphasized the importance of taking breaks and not waiting until scenes are completed to have a meal. She called out a specific production manager and said, "Na me know where my body dey now. PM on set, you do this one ooooo. A ku saaaaaa tuntun."
This statement sheds light on the challenges faced by actors and crew members in the Yoruba movie industry, where they often have to contend with issues related to their well-being on set. Wumi's candid remarks have sparked discussions and raised awareness about the working conditions within the industry.
