In a recent development, Nigerians on social media have accused certain members of the late singer Mohbad's family of scheming to take possession of his belongings from his grieving 24-year-old widow. This accusation arose after a video emerged from his burial site in Ikorodu, where he was laid to rest.
In the video, unidentified men could be heard warning Mohbad's wife to stay away from his gravesite, threatening to seize his property. This incident prompted a backlash on social media, with many Nigerians condemning the men for their alleged plan to claim the singer's assets meant for his wife and child.
Furthermore, a separate video circulated on social media featuring an irate woman expressing her displeasure with Mohbad's burial location in Ikorodu. The woman angrily asserted that the singer's body had been brought to Ikorodu to expose what she deemed his wife's wrongdoing.
She stated, "We are going to purchase another piece of land, but we want the world to know what his wife has done, despite our protests." One social media user speculated that their discontent may stem from Mohbad's failure to construct a house in Ikorodu despite his fame.
