Primeboy, a childhood friend of the late singer Mohbad, has raised concerns about being pursued by the police. He alleges that Mohbad's widow is attempting to frame him for a crime.
Previously, an advertisement circulated featuring Primeboy as a wanted individual by the Nigerian Police, offering a reward of 1 million naira to anyone who could assist in his apprehension.
Primeboy voluntarily surrendered to the police, where he was questioned by reporters from TVC News present at the scene.
He expressed his bewilderment upon learning that the police were searching for him, as he claimed to have never received an invitation from them, which he would have declined if offered.
Primeboy vehemently denied any involvement in the death of his childhood friend, Mohbad, and recounted their last moments together.
According to Primeboy, on the day of Mohbad's passing, his friend had invited him to the island for a casual gathering. During the outing, Mohbad mentioned an upcoming show he planned to attend.
Primeboy explained that a quarrel ensued between Mohbad and his wife over an issue he was unaware of, leading Mohbad to ask him to exit the car they were in.
In a state of lamentation, Primeboy claimed that Mohbad's wife had taken to the internet to make statements aiming to implicate him in the matter and frame him for wrongdoing.
