Comedian Basketmouth speaks about how Wizkid gave him N40 million for his show in 2014.

Famous Nigerian comedian Basketmouth has taken to social media to share a heartwarming revelation about award-winning singer Wizkid's generosity. In a statement circulating online, Basketmouth discloses how Wizkid boosted his career by contributing N40 million towards his comedy show, without expecting reimbursement.

Contrary to the popular narrative of Wizkid being proud on social media, Basketmouth paints a different picture, stating that Wizkid's actions reflect his true character.

Recalling the incident, Basketmouth recounts how he desperately needed Wizkid to perform at his 2014 comedy show and was prepared to pay him. However, Wizkid declined payment, opting to attend as a surprise guest and perform for free.

Unfortunately, three days before the event, Wizkid informed Basketmouth of a family emergency, preventing him from attending. Despite Basketmouth's disappointment, Wizkid swiftly offered to cover the expenses for other Nigerian artists to perform at the show.

Grateful for Wizkid's gesture, Basketmouth reached out to artists like Lil Kesh, Kcee, Yemi Alade, and Phyno, accumulating a bill of N40 million. To Basketmouth's astonishment, Wizkid promptly settled the entire amount.

In his statement, Basketmouth expressed his disbelief, debunking any misconceptions about Wizkid's character perpetuated on social media.
