News Update: Third Mainland Bridge Traffic Restrictions Continue On Wednesday

In a statement released on Tuesday night in Lagos, the Federal Controller of Works in Lagos State, Mrs. Olukorede Kesha, confirmed that traffic will be restricted from Lagos Island to Iyana Oworo on the Third Mainland Bridge. This restriction will take effect from 12 a.m. on Wednesday. The decision was made by the federal government to facilitate repairs on the bridge.

Mrs. Kesha urged motorists to cooperate with traffic officials during this period and apologized for any inconvenience caused. She stated that the restriction would last until 12-noon on Thursday, March 7. During this time, the bridge will not be accessible to Iyana-Oworo bound traffic.

Alternative routes are advised for road users during the period of restriction. However, the carriageway from Iyana-Oworo to the Island will remain open exclusively for island-bound motorists. This measure aims to ensure smooth traffic flow during the repair works.
