Nigerian man, Dare Akinrodoye, also known as Coach Dreh, achieves a remarkable feat by swimming the entire length of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.


His daring swim aims to raise awareness for suicide and depression, highlighting these critical mental health issues in Nigeria.


Coach Dreh bravely shares his personal battle with depression and suicidal thoughts, crediting his passion for swimming as a lifeline that saved him. He undertakes the swim to inspire others facing similar challenges, urging them to find solace in activities they love.


The event, held on March 30th in Lagos, witnesses a large crowd, including Coach Dreh's medical team and Mobolaji Ogunlende, the Lagos state commissioner for youth and sports, symbolizing government support.


With unwavering determination, Coach Dreh swims the entire length of the bridge, covering 11.8 kilometers in a remarkable time of 2 hours and 33 minutes, showcasing resilience and strength of spirit.
