The family of Rebeka Sekidika, a young graduate who tragically passed away while undergoing a routine medical procedure at Paragon Clinics & Imaging in Port Harcourt, is demanding justice.
Rebeka, a first-class university graduate, visited the hospital after experiencing a three-month absence of her menstrual period. Despite undergoing several tests, including a pregnancy test which returned negative results, she proceeded with a diagnostic hysteroscopy at the hospital.
On February 2, Rebeka, who was in good health, attended the hospital for the non-life-threatening procedure. While awaiting her turn, she engaged in an online class using her laptop. However, shortly after, her parents were informed of her sudden demise, with reports of commotion from the theatre.
Rebeka's father, who witnessed her in a pool of blood, questions how his healthy daughter could meet such a fate. He is now seeking justice, accusing the clinic of negligence in their daughter's untimely death.
