"To survive prostate surgery at 82 is a miracle," music legend Ebenezer Obey remarked.

Renowned musician Ebenezer Obey opens up about his survival journey after prostate surgery, attributing his recovery to Nigerian doctors and prayers. In an interview, he expressed gratitude to God and supporters for seeing him through the surgery at 82. He shared plans to release a song addressing prostate enlargement, aiming to raise awareness about the condition.

Obey, known for his juju music, revealed that he underwent major leg surgery two years prior, surviving with complications. He credited his passion for music for his resilience, stating uncertainty about his survival without it.

As he approaches his 82nd birthday on April 3, Obey plans philanthropic initiatives across nine locations, including Pacelli School for the Blind and Lepers’ Colony in Abeokuta, Ogun State. The celebrations will culminate in a thanksgiving service at Decross Gospel Mission, Lagos.
