EFCC Confirms Arrest of Bobrisky for Currency Mutilation

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has officially confirmed the arrest of the controversial cross-dresser, Idris Okuneye, widely known as Bobrisky.


EFCC spokesperson, Dele Oyewole, exclusively informed this medium on Thursday, April 4, 2024, regarding the arrest.


Oyewole disclosed that Bobrisky was apprehended on Wednesday, April 3, 2024, and is currently held at the EFCC's Lagos office for interrogation.


The arrest, according to Oyewole, is linked to Bobrisky's alleged involvement in the abuse and mutilation of the nation's currency, the Naira.


He further clarified that Bobrisky faces charges specifically related to currency mutilation and will be prosecuted accordingly.
