JAMB Discloses Arrest of Father and Son Duo for Exam Impersonation

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) revealed the arrest of two suspects, a father and his son, for their alleged involvement in impersonation during the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). This disclosure came as JAMB reported that approximately 1.94 million candidates took part in the 2024 examinations nationwide.

JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, disclosed this information to reporters after overseeing the exam at the Kaduna State University CBT Centre. However, Prof. Oloyede refrained from disclosing the identities of the suspects or the location of the reported malpractice.
