Nollywood actor Jide Awobona has voiced his frustration with well-known screenwriter and film director Abiodun Jimoh, also known as Abey Jomo, over the extreme measures required for his role in the movie “Inspector Jero.”
As the lead actor, Jide was put on a strict diet to achieve a specific look for his character. In a shared screenshot of their conversation, Jide revealed he was instructed to fast, avoid eating until sunset, stop drinking until 7 PM, and only consume a slice of watermelon in the morning. The director's aim was for Jide to have sunken eyes and a hungry appearance.
Surprised by these strict demands, Jide took to Instagram to express his shock and seek help, questioning what he had done to deserve such treatment.
“Help Help Help. Because I decided to make a film, see what Abiodun Jimoh did to me. Check the slides. WHAT HAVE I DONE TO YOU @abeyjomo.”
