Afrobeats superstar Davido, known for his global fame and wealth, has recently made headlines for a heartwarming display of respect during a burial event in Osun State. The musician, whose real name is David Adeleke, was seen kneeling before numerous elders, including Governor Ademola Adeleke and his own father, Adedeji Adeleke.
In a new video from the ceremony, Davido is captured prostrating to each elder and removing his cap as a sign of reverence. His actions, which include greeting elders one by one and showing deep respect, have touched many. The background voice in the video praises Davido, calling him “OBO” and acknowledging his humility and respect for tradition.
This display of respect comes shortly after another video of Davido generously spraying naira at Fuji artist Malaika. The heartfelt gestures at the final burial ceremony of Alhaja Akinleye, the late mother of the Chief of Staff to the Osun State Governor, further emphasize Davido’s commitment to Yoruba traditions.
The close bond between Davido and Governor Ademola Adeleke, highlighted by their warm interaction at the event, has also sparked discussions online, with many noting the strong and respectful relationship between the two.
