Earlier today, a report from Punch claimed that the mother of popular Fuji musician KS1 Malaika had passed away. However, the artist swiftly debunked the news via his Instagram account, urging bloggers to verify their information before publishing.
In his Instagram caption, KS1 Malaika clarified that while the deceased, known as "Iye," was a mother figure to him, she was not his biological mother. He expressed gratitude for the support and concern from his fans but emphasized that Iye is still alive. "Iye is also my mother but not my biological mother who passed on," he wrote, adding, "May God not take Iye’s life at this moment so she can continue serving as a mother to us all. She’s the only mother I have left. May Almighty God grant her good health."
The musician also called on bloggers to conduct proper research before publishing stories, asking them not to add to his pain with unverified news.
