Nigerian gospel actor and producer Moses Korede Are, famously known as Baba Gbenro from the Mount Zion series Abattoir, has passed away.


The announcement was made by Oluwaseun Adejumobi, a fellow gospel actor and producer, via his verified Instagram page on Thursday. Sharing the heartbreaking news, Adejumobi wrote:

Baba Gbenro was a beloved figure in gospel filmmaking. He served as the founder and International President of the Calvary Movies Drama Ministry, based in Ogbomoso, Nigeria, and was the Chief Executive Officer of Calvary Movies Television. His contributions to Christian entertainment were widely celebrated, particularly through his impactful role in Abattoir.
