Nollywood actress and filmmaker Iyabo Ojo has revealed the meaning behind her title “Queen Mother” as she readies herself for her daughter Priscilla Ojo’s wedding to Tanzanian singer Juma Jux, scheduled for 2025. Sharing heartwarming photos of herself and Priscilla in matching white outfits, Iyabo explained that her nickname stems from her daughter being a queen and herself as her proud mother, calling them “the ultimate duo.”
“When you wonder what ‘Queen Mother’ means, it’s the queen and her remarkable mother – the ultimate duo,” she wrote, tagging Priscilla.
The news of Priscilla and Juma’s upcoming wedding, which has been widely celebrated online, was first met with mixed reactions, with some fans suspecting it was a PR stunt. However, any doubts about their love were dispelled after the couple announced their engagement publicly.
Iyabo Ojo recently celebrated another joyful family milestone, becoming a grandmother in September when her stepdaughter, Vanessa Okoye, welcomed a baby girl in the U.S. Iyabo shared her excitement, posting a photo of Vanessa and the newborn and congratulating her partner on becoming a grandfather.
The Ojo family’s joyous moments highlight their closeness and love, as they prepare for Priscilla’s wedding and welcome new life into their family.
