"If Nigeria isn’t working, Yoruba, Igbo, and others should go their separate ways," – Sunday Igboho (Video)

Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo, widely known as Sunday Igboho, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of Nigeria, claiming many Nigerians no longer identify with the country due to corruption, insecurity, and economic challenges.

In a video shared online on January 9, Igboho, who appeared at a United Kingdom airport, highlighted the struggles facing the nation and suggested that ethnic groups should be allowed to separate if Nigeria cannot function cohesively.

He criticized the lack of security, stating, “Even inside the airport, there is no security. They can steal your belongings inside your bag. These are the things dissuading people from being proud of Nigeria.”

Advocating for the independence of the Yoruba nation, Igboho said that many Yoruba youths, equipped with knowledge and experience gained from global exposure, are prepared to transform their homeland into a prosperous society resembling those in Europe.

“Our youths will transform Yoruba land. Most of them have travelled across the world and learned a lot. If they come back to Yoruba land, their knowledge will help build and modernize it,” he concluded.

The video has sparked discussions on social media, with supporters and critics weighing in on the call for Nigeria's restructuring and regional independence.
