Veteran Nollywood actress and producer Khabirah Kafidipe has unveiled plans for a new Islamic-themed film aimed at fostering unity among Muslims and spreading the message of Islam.
Taking to social media on Sunday, the 44-year-old actress expressed her excitement about the project but kept the movie’s title a secret.
“Assalamu Alaikum, dear brothers and sisters! We’re excited to announce our next Dawah film project, aimed at spreading the message of Islam and inspiring Muslims worldwide,” she wrote.
Khabirah also revealed that the film would be released for free on YouTube after Ramadan, ensuring accessibility to a global audience.
As preparations for filming, set for February 25, are in progress, the actress appealed to the public for support, encouraging contributions to help bring the project to life.
“We’re reaching out to ask for your contribution to help us have a successful production. Every contribution counts, no matter how small!” she added while providing bank details for donations.
Khabirah Kafidipe, widely recognized for her role as Araparegangan in Tunde Kelani’s 1999 classic Saworoide, has had a prolific career in Nollywood. She has featured in notable films such as Agogo Eewo, The Campus Queen, The Narrow Path, Arugba, Iwalewa, Dazzling Mirage, and The Seed.
Beyond acting, Khabirah is dedicated to promoting Islamic values through her company, Karfycomm Dawah Group. The organization produces films, organizes lectures, and hosts exhibitions to propagate the Islamic faith.
Karfycomm previously premiered its first Dawah film, A Date with Asmau, in 2020, followed by He Promised Us Gifts in 2023.
