The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has launched an investigation into the tragic death of a makeup artist, Emrich Effanga, who was allegedly killed by her boyfriend, identified as Ndifreke.
Confirming the development, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John, told journalists in Uyo on Monday, February 10, that the Commissioner of Police, Baba Azare, has ordered a full investigation into the case.
“Information at our disposal has it that the matter has been reported to us, and an investigation is ongoing at the moment. Further developments will be communicated to you,” John stated.
The tragic incident gained attention after Emrich Effanga’s brother took to social media to share the heartbreaking story of how she was allegedly killed by someone she once loved.
The investigation is expected to uncover the full circumstances surrounding her death, as the public awaits further updates from the police.
