"I Lost N10 Million" – Fuji Star Taye Currency Recounts Painful Experience with CBEX

Popular Fuji musician, Taye Currency, has publicly shared his painful experience of losing N10 million to an alleged Ponzi scheme run by Crypto Bridge Exchange (CBEX).

In a now-viral video circulating on social media, the singer opened up about the ordeal during a recent stage performance, leaving many fans shocked. Taye Currency revealed that he was introduced to the investment scheme by several of his close friends and colleagues, including individuals named Sodiq, Lateef, Alaba, Small London, and Brother Muca.

According to him, these associates had already profited from the platform and convinced him with stories of success. He disclosed that:

“On April 1, Sodiq came to my house and said Lateef, the brand manager, had collected some money. Alaba, who stole N1.2 million from the stage, invested it in CBEX. Brother Muca invested his N500,000 fee. Sodiq used his band savings of N850,000, and Lateef put in N1.4 million.”

Encouraged by their success, Taye Currency said he decided to invest his own savings, which he had kept in an insurance account.

“Lateef said he used N200,000 and got N600,000 in return, so I got motivated. I withdrew all the money I had saved with insurance and invested N10 million on April 1. But everything vanished,” he lamented emotionally.

In the video, a visibly upset Taye Currency expressed his anger at those who introduced him to the scheme, saying:

“If they die well, they won’t rest well, because I was on my own before you took me to CBEX.”

His emotional confession comes amid widespread public frustration and growing outrage following the sudden crash of the CBEX platform. Many victims have since come forward, urging authorities to investigate the crypto platform and protect others from falling prey to similar scams.
