Veteran Actor Elegbeje Ado Shares Powerful Story of How His Spiritual Journey Began in School

 Veteran Yoruba Nollywood actor Elegbeje Ado has opened up about the beginnings of his spiritual journey, revealing how his ability to see into the future first appeared during his school days.

Speaking in a recent interview on Kunle Afod’s YouTube channel, Ado shared that his prophetic visions started unexpectedly when he would fall asleep in class. What initially seemed like ordinary naps turned out to be divine revelations that carried clear messages about the lives and futures of his classmates.

He recalled one of his earliest experiences involving a classmate named Taiwo Abati. According to Ado, he had a vision showing that her water bottle would break, and as a result, her father would beat her and refuse to give her lunch money. When he told her about the vision, she thought it was a joke — until it happened exactly as he described.

That moment marked a turning point. As word spread about his gift, more students began to approach him, asking if he had seen anything about their lives. Ado said he would relay whatever God showed him, giving detailed and often accurate insights.

For about six months, this pattern continued. At first, he believed it was just a coincidence or a strange talent. But everything changed when God spoke to him directly, revealing that the visions were not just for show — he had been called to intercede for people through prayer.

He said:

“Whenever I sleep in class, God usually shows me visions of what will happen to my classmates. It started with a girl named Taiwo Abati. God showed me that her water bottle would break, her father would beat her, and he wouldn’t give her feeding allowance. I told her, and she didn’t believe it until it happened. After that, many of my classmates started coming to me during break time, asking if I saw anything about them. Whenever God showed me something, I told them. It went on for about six months. I didn’t take it seriously at first until God told me He gave me the gift so I could pray for people.”

Elegbeje Ado’s story offers a rare and emotional glimpse into how his spiritual path began — long before he became a household name in Nollywood.
