Nollywood comic actor Tunde Usman, better known as Okele, has revealed the reason behind his recent decision to give up his car and start using public transportation.
In a candid interview on Behind The Fame TV’s YouTube channel, the actor disclosed that he sold his car due to financial difficulties. Rather than ask others for money, Okele said he chose to make the tough decision to rely on commercial vehicles for his daily movement.
The actor explained that his experience with a mechanic pushed him over the edge. According to him, he spent nearly ₦5 million trying to fix the car, only to realize the mechanic was exploiting him without making any real repairs.
“I didn’t want to beg anyone for money,” he said. “People should stop measuring actors' success by how many cars or houses they have. Judge us by our talents and skills in film.”
Okele’s honesty has stirred conversations online, with many fans praising his humility and resilience.
