Nollywood actress Omowunmi Ajiboye has finally addressed lingering rumours surrounding her past relationship with fellow actor and filmmaker Segun Ogungbe, stating clearly that they were never married or engaged.
In a revealing interview on Oyinmomo TV, the actress set the record straight, saying that despite public belief, Segun Ogungbe never officially met her family, except for a friend of her sibling who resides in Lagos.
Omowunmi, who appeared emotional but composed during the interview, pleaded with fans and critics to stop judging or attacking her, insisting she is not a bad person and did not ruin Segun’s life or career.
“Let me set the record straight — Segun Ogungbe and I were never married, not even engaged. He never met my family, aside from a friend of my sibling who lives in Lagos. Segun himself can confirm this,” she said.
She emphasized that during their time together, things were good, and even after they parted ways, his life continued smoothly, contrary to claims that her exit caused disruption.
Omowunmi added:
“Please take it easy on me. I didn’t destroy anyone’s life. I pray your homes are not broken, your children are not raised by strangers, and you don’t experience sudden loss. Just leave me alone and let me live.”
The actress, determined to move forward, also used the opportunity to announce her new YouTube channel, urging fans to support her latest movie project, subscribe, and spread love rather than hate.
Her honest and heartfelt words have since sparked discussions online, with many social media users applauding her courage, transparency, and positive energy as she seeks peace and growth in her personal and professional life.
