Kazim Adeoti, husband of popular Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe, has captured attention on social media following a revealing interview on the Oyinmomo Show.
During the interview, Kazim shared details about his early days as a marketer in the Nigerian film industry and reflected on his professional journey. He spoke about the ups and downs he has faced, including how he has been deceived multiple times by dishonest movie producers despite his generosity and support for many in the industry.
Kazim revealed that over the years, he has worked with respected names like Oga Bello, Femi Adebayo, Funke Akindele, and his wife, Mercy Aigbe. Among them, he said Mercy stood out for her honesty and integrity.
He recounted how in 2011, after paying Mercy for her role in Hajia Jemila, she returned the leftover balance instead of keeping it — an act that left him deeply impressed. Kazim noted that despite advice from others to only work closely with men, Mercy’s honesty changed his view and strengthened their working relationship.
In his words:
“What I really admire about her is her honesty and straightforwardness; it’s something I truly respect. Back in 2011 when she starred in Hajia Jemila, I paid her, and unlike others who complained about the fee, she came back to return leftover money. I was shocked. She completely changed my perspective. She’s not only a woman but a beautiful one, and yet she acted with so much integrity. Honestly, I never collected that remaining money from her, and we continued working together from there.”
Kazim also mentioned that while he has built houses and gifted cars to several producers, he prefers not to boast about his good deeds, even when some of them later disappoint him.
The interview video has generated a buzz online, with many praising Kazim’s humility and Mercy Aigbe’s integrity.
