Nobody is coming to save us” – Omoni Oboli Sends Strong Message to Nollywood, Urges Unity and Support for the Industry

Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has shared an emotional and powerful message with her colleagues in the movie industry. In a heartfelt post, Omoni reminded Nollywood stars, producers, and crew members that no one is coming to save the industry — they are all they have, and together, they are enough.

She encouraged her colleagues to be intentional about the survival of the industry and to support those who are working tirelessly to keep it going. Omoni pointed out that many people continue to invest in Nollywood despite not getting returns because they believe in the dream and hope for brighter days ahead.

Calling for unity, she urged everyone in the industry — actors, producers, and crew — to work together and not to discourage those striving hard to sustain Nollywood. She reassured them that things would improve, as God is part of their journey.

In her words:

“Dear Nollywood, nobody is coming to save us! We are all we have, but we are enough. We must be intentional about our survival. It’s hard all around, I know, but let’s support the ones fighting tooth and nail to keep the industry running. Let’s not choke them.

A lot of people aren’t getting a return on their investment, but they keep going because they believe in and hope for better days. Let’s work together.

If it’s so hard, why do they keep shooting? For some people, it’s passion. This is their life, their love, what keeps them going. For others, it’s the hope and belief that it will get better.

Let’s support ourselves — actors, crew, and producers. It will get better. God is in our story. Always remember that I love you.”

The post has drawn wide praise from fans and Nollywood insiders, with many appreciating Omoni for using her voice to encourage solidarity and positivity in the industry.
