Popular Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has spoken out following the tragic death of a rising actor, Ola Lawal, who reportedly died while on a movie set for filmmaker Bola Akande.
Reacting on his Instagram page, Adeniyi expressed deep shock and sadness over the sudden loss of his junior colleague. He openly called out Bola Akande, not for causing the death, but for staying silent since the incident happened.
“We’re not blaming you for his death,” he wrote, “but your silence is loud. Acknowledge what happened, share your side, and try to support the grieving family.”
According to Adeniyi, the late actor's father feels disrespected after Bola allegedly requested the brother’s account number shortly after Ola’s passing, which he described as lacking compassion.
He praised Segun Okeowo (Mr. KSO) for being the only one who has consistently shown empathy and concern toward the grieving family.
Adeniyi Johnson further emphasized that he and others are demanding justice for Ola Lawal. He called for a proper burial and accountability, promising not to stop pushing until the late actor is given the dignity and respect he deserves.
The actor ended his post with strong words:
“We demand justice for Ola’s dignity and a proper burial. We’ll keep pushing for accountability.”
