Popular Yoruba actor Peter Ijagbemi has expressed deep gratitude to God, his family, friends, and well-wishers for their overwhelming support and love during his recent wedding.

Taking to social media, the actor shared beautiful photos from the ceremony and appreciated everyone who celebrated with him. He prayed that God would bless each person and meet them at the point of their needs.

“I appreciate you all for your best wishes. God will surely meet each and everyone of us at the very point of our needs. Amen. Oluwa mo dupe ooo!” he wrote joyfully.

His wife, Folajogun Akinlami, also shared an emotional tribute, celebrating their union and the beginning of a new chapter in their lives.

“Today, I married my best friend. I said yes to forever.

I decided to give love another chance.

Today, I became Mrs. Fola Peters Ijagbemi.

Somebody’s son decided to hold my hand through the lonely paths of life.”

She also humorously noted that her new surname is simpler than her birth name, saying, “Folajogun Akinlami is quite a mouthful. Mrs. Ijagbemi will do just fine.”

💐 Celebrating Their Mothers: A Tribute to Silent Strength

In a touching post, the couple celebrated both their mothers, praising them as true heroines who sacrificed greatly to raise successful children alone.

Mrs. Akinlami is a retired school principal and a graduate of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.

Mrs. Ijagbemi is a retired nurse with a Master’s in Social Work.

Both women raised their children alone after the loss of their husbands and never remarried — choosing instead to focus on parenting.

“This wedding wasn’t just about love. It was a celebration of silent strength, of resilience, and of two phenomenal mothers who raised stars,” the couple wrote.

🌍 World Vitiligo Day: A Special Recognition

In celebration of World Vitiligo Day, Folajogun publicly honored her husband, Peter, who lives with the condition. She clarified that his unique white beard is not dyed for style, but a natural result of vitiligo.

“I bet you all thought the white beard was tinted for fashion? If you’ve ever judged him for it, now you know better.

We celebrate you — and everyone living with vitiligo — today and always. You are special, and we love the extra spice you bring to the world. Keep shining!”

Fans, colleagues, and followers have continued to send in congratulatory messages, hailing the couple’s love story and the powerful tribute to both family and strength.
