"I Am Speechless at the Audacity of It All" – Mercy Johnson Calls Out Ghanaian TV Station for Airing Her Movie Without Permission

Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie has publicly criticized a Ghanaian television station, Blazing TV, for airing her new movie "The Firstborn" without her permission or that of her team.

Taking to her Instagram page, the popular actress expressed shock and disappointment over the unauthorized broadcast. She described the station’s action as bold and unacceptable, questioning how such a move could be considered right.

“Ghana, Blazing TV. How is this even okay? Blazing TV in Ghana is showing my movie, The Firstborn, on their TV without my consent. How does this even make sense? I am speechless at the audacity of it all,” she wrote.

Mercy Johnson’s reaction has sparked online discussions, with fans and fellow filmmakers condemning the act and calling for stronger protection of intellectual property rights across African entertainment industries.

So far, Blazing TV has not issued any public response to the actress’s claims.
