“I Experienced Attacks When Relocating to America” – Actress Temitope Aruga Opens Up as She Speaks on Her Crush on Ogogo

Nollywood actress Temitope Aruga has opened up about her journey in the film industry, her personal struggles, and a surprising revelation about her longtime admiration for veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

In a candid interview with fellow actress Biola Bayo, Temitope shared that Ogogo was once her celebrity crush, especially during his iconic role in the classic film "Owo Blow."

“Ogogo used to be my crush. That was during the time of 'Owo Blow',” she revealed with a smile.

Temitope also spoke emotionally about her relocation to the United States, a move she described as both bold and painful. She recalled how people wrongly assumed she moved abroad because she was pregnant and wanted to give birth in America.

“People thought I was pregnant and relocating to have a child. But I wasn’t. I cried and kept wondering if I made the right decision. I had to start all over,” she said.

Before leaving Nigeria, she confided in Lateef Adedimeji, who was a close friend at the time. She remembered the moment he prayed for her from Mecca and encouraged her to move forward with her plans.

“I called Lateef. We were very close then. He said, ‘Go and prosper,’ and prayed for me. I was crying because I’m a very emotional person,” she explained.

Now back in Nigeria and ready to resume her acting career, Temitope made it clear that her love for acting is not driven by fame, but by genuine passion.

“I love my career, not because I want to be famous. If acting were like being a doctor, I would still love it,” she said.

To her fans who have been eagerly asking for her return, she had a humble plea:

“You’ve been asking me to come back — and I’m back. I don’t know how I’ll do it, but I’ll keep pushing. When I produce my movie, please watch it with love. And please, for God’s sake, I don’t know how to dance!”

Fans have praised Temitope for her honesty and resilience, welcoming her back to Nollywood with love and encouragement. Her emotional story highlights the challenges many face behind the scenes, and her return marks a hopeful new chapter in her acting journey.
