Prince Odi Okojie, husband of Nollywood star Mercy Johnson and a member of the House of Representatives for Edo State, has drawn public attention after launching a large-scale empowerment program for his constituents.
The politician distributed various forms of support, including farm produce and vehicles for farmers, laptops for students, security vehicles for the police, and aid for members of the Okada association to improve mobility. Photos from the public donations were shared by Mercy Johnson on her Instagram story, showcasing her husband’s philanthropic efforts.
While many commended him for his generosity, others speculated that his actions were politically motivated ahead of the next election.
