"Someone Was Paying Me ₦1M Weekly" – Nkechi Blessing Reveals Why She Took a Break from Nollywood

Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing has opened up about her decision to step away from acting for a while.

In an interview on Curiosity Made Me Ask with Bae U Barbie, the actress revealed that an anonymous benefactor placed her on a ₦1 million weekly salary, which gave her financial stability and reduced the need to accept low-paying movie roles.

“Someone anonymously put me on a ₦1 million weekly salary because I wasn’t getting paid enough for movie roles — that’s why I took a break from acting. I can’t shoot a movie and might not even make up to ₦1 million profit from it,” she said.

When asked if the anonymous person still supports her, Nkechi playfully responded, “It’s not your business.”
