World’s First Surviving Nonuplets Turn 4: Parents Reflect on Miracle Birth and Unforgettable Journey

Halima Cissé and Abdelkader Arby, parents of the world’s first surviving nonuplets, have shared touching memories of their children's early days, celebrating their remarkable journey as a family of 11. Nearly two months after the nonuplets' 4th birthday, the Malian couple took to Instagram to post rare and adorable photos of their five daughters and four sons — Kadidia, Fatouma, Hawa, Adama, Oumou, Mohammed VI, Oumar, Elhadji, and Bah.

The children, born via C-section on May 4, 2021, at just 30 weeks in Casablanca, Morocco, instantly made global headlines. Each baby weighed between 1.1 and 2.2 pounds, and their survival set a new Guinness World Record for the most children delivered at a single birth to survive.

In their emotional post, the couple wrote:

“Here are some rare images of our treasures just after they were born, in their tiny hatches, and a precious photo of their mum Halima during her exceptional pregnancy.”

Photos shared include coordinated shots of the siblings throughout their childhood. One image shows one of the boys proudly holding their Guinness plaque as the family beams with pride. Their elder sister, Souda, who is two years older, was not pictured.

Describing their life as a "miracle of life, incredible strength, and immense love," the proud parents expressed heartfelt gratitude:

“We are filled with gratitude for how far we have come and for all the support we have received since the very beginning.”

For their 4th birthday in 2025, Halima told Guinness they decided to celebrate “in a grandiose way, as a celebrity would!”

The family's story continues to inspire millions around the world — a true testament to love, faith, and resilience.
