Popular Nollywood actor Adewale Alebiosu has shared the story of his spiritual transformation, revealing how an unexpected experience in church changed his faith from Islam to Christianity.
In an interview on the YouTube channel Feel Right News TV on Thursday, August 14, 2025, Alebiosu explained that he was born into a strong Muslim family and grew up practicing Islam. However, his journey took a new turn when a friend invited him to a church program where they needed a drummer.
At first, Alebiosu said he refused to step into the church, but after repeated pleas from his friend and even the pastor, he agreed to play the drums. What followed, he described as a life-changing encounter.
“All of a sudden, my head began to swell, and the church building seemed like it was moving around quickly. Before I knew it, I fell and lost consciousness. That was the moment I gave my life to Christ,” he recalled.
When he regained consciousness, Alebiosu said he felt an unusual peace and a strong pull toward Christianity. Although his decision was met with mixed reactions from his Muslim family, he remained firm, insisting that the experience was divine and marked a new chapter in his life.
“Some people thought it was just a coincidence or a health issue, but I know what I felt. That day was the turning point of my life. Since then, I have been serving God, and my life has changed for the better,” he said.
Alebiosu, who is known for his roles in Yoruba Nollywood films, added that his personal experiences have influenced how he interprets spiritual roles on screen, giving them more depth and authenticity.
Closing his testimony, the actor encouraged people to remain open to spiritual change, no matter their background. “God can meet you anywhere and completely transform your life. I am living proof of that,” he affirmed.
His revelation has sparked discussions online, with many social media users praising his courage in sharing such a personal and sensitive story.
