“Avoid over-religious people, they are dumb” – Singer Omah Lay Warns Fans

Popular Nigerian singer Omah Lay has sparked conversation online after sharing a strong message with his fans about religion.

Taking to his Instagram story, the music star advised people to stay away from “over-religious” individuals, describing them as “dumb.” Instead, he encouraged his followers to focus on self-love, raise their personal energy, and seek the truth, which he believes will set them free.

In his words:

“The right information is key.

Avoid over religious people, they are dumb.

Love yourself.

Raise your frequency.

Find the truth, it will set you free.

Life is good.”

This is not the first time Omah Lay has spoken against religion. The singer had previously revealed that he used to be religious until fame and success changed his outlook, leading him to “backslide.”

His statement comes after several other celebrities have made controversial comments about religion. Small Doctor recently told Christians that “God doesn’t exist,” while singer Brymo also declared that he doesn’t believe in a religious hell. Last year, social media influencer Danny caused uproar when he claimed he would only believe in God if He could turn water into wine in front of him.

Similarly, filmmaker Patrick Doyle once criticized the popular Christian slogan, “What God cannot do doesn’t exist,” calling it silly. Media personality Daddy Freeze also faced backlash for saying he could not serve God, a statement which BBNaija star Bambam challenged with biblical references.

Omah Lay’s bold remarks have now added to the growing list of Nigerian entertainers openly questioning religion, sparking mixed reactions from fans and the public.
